About Us
Putaruru College has been a pillar of education in the South Waikato for decades, proudly serving our community and adapting to meet the needs of each generation.
Originally established through the amalgamation of Putaruru High School and Putaruru Intermediate, the college has grown into a vibrant Year 7–13 learning environment. Over the years, we have embraced change while staying true to our roots – fostering a strong sense of whanaungatanga (connection), resilience, and pride in our local identity.
Our history is one of collaboration between students, staff, whanau, and the wider community, ensuring that together we continue to learn, grow, and succeed.
