Description
Oh, ladies, wāhine mā, we?ve started something EXTRAORDINARY!
Lock the date in for our next Waikato?s League of Extraordinary Women ? that magical evening where we don?t bring in amazing women from all over the country because we don?t need to! We look around us and everywhere we look, we see EXTRAORDINARY. Waikato women, shining bright, working hard, achieving great things, often quietly in the background. So we?re celebrating them!
MEET....
Tracey Hook
Tracey is currently an Executive Director of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. Tracey had a 14-year career with Tainui Group Holdings, the commercial arm of Waikato-Tainui, where her most recent role was the Acting Chief Financial Officer. A mother of three and stepmother of one, Tracey likes to keep fit, spend time with her family. She sees the values Te Wānanga o Aotearoa as being aligned to her own personal values, but on top of that Tracey aims to demonstrate additional values in work and life.
Meleane Burgess
An Accountant by profession, having worked in prominent accounting firms in the Waikato. A graduate of the University of Waikato Management School, Meleane is the founder and Chairperson of the Waikato Pacific Business Network Inc, an organisation set up to support Pacific businesses and professionals. She also took an interest in local politics and was the only Pacific woman to stand in the Hamilton East by-election in early 2018. Meleane is the director of Dynamic Advisory Ltd, a company she established to provide business advice and accounting services.
Michelle Rohleder- aka Michelle Holman
Michelle Holman has two lives: one as the author of five novels and the other as a Registered Nurse and Professional Supervisor. She lives with her husband on a lifestyle block near Cambridge and in her spare time rides her horse and tries not to fall off, gets taken for walks by the dog and bossed around by two cats.
And what?s that, we hear you ask? Where?s Shelly? Worry not, our evening will, as always, be MC?d by the vivacious and keep-you-on-your-toes Shelly Davies.
We are so thrilled to have ASB as our sponsors for the evening ? working alongside the Waikato Chamber of Commerce to celebrate, promote, and inspire women in the Waikato.
Come along, have a drink, hear some struggles and success stories, learn from each other, and most of all, hang with the girls. You deserve it!
